Rethink type
For this assignment I made two type collages. I chose to combined the black-white contrast and the diagonal requirements for my first piece. I scanned in a piece of text, printed it out and used it as background. I cut out letters from magazines to form the diagonal aspect.
The second collage had the requirements centred and a single colour, I chose purple. I made this by ripping and cutting pieces and letters from magazines.
Rethink layout
I was assigned to make a series of three posters for a (fake) photography expo at museum FOAM. The text and images where provided with the assignment.
I was not allowed to alter the image or add any images, that way the focus would be on the layout and use of the text and typography.
I made a lot of different versions before I was pleased with this end result. The amount of feedback I went through was mad! But I am very grateful that I did and definitely made me understand the fundamentals of poster design better.
